About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Estate Services Team as a Sheltered Housing Cleaner.
In this role you would be responsible for ensuring indoor communal areas within our council Sheltered Housing Scheme are tidy, litter free, clean, and safe, taking an active part in estate improvements and carrying out their tasks to a high standard they aim to meet or exceed the Councils objective for Cleaner Greener Estates.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and undertake training to enhance your knowledge and experience in the wider housing department.
The role involves working at Sheltered Housing Schemes.
- 1 x 20 hours a week (Monday – Friday)
About The Team You’ll Be Working In
Estate Services is a fast paced, customer orientated service who take personal responsibility for all issues arising on our estates.
The team work closely with our Housing Service team, other internal departments, and external organisations to ensure that residents get the best service and opportunities to live independently and safely in their homes.
About You
- Flexible, able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Communicative, approachable, a listener and a problem solver who can work with integrity.
- Organised, professional, willing to learn and can take responsibility for their own actions.
- Understands and promotes Health and Safety in all decisions and actions undertaken.
Qualifications:
You are able to travel independently around the Borough and work from different locations.
Essential For The Role:
- You are physically fit, can move between different floor levels using stairs, can lift and use cleaning equipment.
- Basic DBS is required
