Are you a detail-oriented and safety-conscious professional with a passion for ensuring compliance and promoting best practices in health, safety, environment, and quality? Nottingham City Council is seeking a dedicated SHEQ Advisor to support Bereavement Services and ensure the highest standards of operational safety and environmental stewardship.
About The Role
As SHEQ Advisor, you will play a key role in managing health, safety, and environmental compliance across Bereavement Services. You’ll provide expert guidance, conduct audits, and support the implementation of ISO standards. Your work will ensure safe practices, legal compliance, and continuous improvement across all service areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the health and safety strategy for the directorate, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and industry best practices.
- Ensure the practical application of workplace procedures and manufacturers’ or suppliers’ instructions for the safe use of equipment, materials, and products.
- Provide advice to the service area and other stakeholders on health, safety, and environmental matters related to work activities.
- Support the maintenance of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 certifications across all operational services within the directorate, promoting a culture of continuous.
