Müller Milk & Ingredients which aims to be Britain’s private label dairy leader and produces branded and private label fresh milk, cream, butter and ingredients products. It boasts a network of dairies and depots servicing customers throughout the country.

Müller Yogurt & Desserts which is the UK’s leading yogurt manufacturer which aims to create millions more Müller moments for its consumers. It is responsible for major brands like Müller Corner, Müllerlight, Müller Bliss, Müller Rice, FRijj and Müller Kefir Smoothie and produces chilled desserts under licence from Mondelez International. It also supplies the UK private label yogurt market from a dedicated, state of the art yogurt facility.

We are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to join our Manchester Blow Moulding Department within our Muller Milk and Ingredients business.

Contract: Full Time/Permanent

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off

Location: Manchester

The purpose of this role is to help enable the team to deliver targets and continuously improve performance by coaching and developing our people.

Responsibilities As Shift Manager

• Ensure all work standards are met, aligned with company policies and procedures
• Ensure full compliance in all areas of H&S, quality, environment (waste) ad production/supply
• Support with absence and performance management issues
• Managing disciplines of team, including disciplinary procedures
• Setting team / employee objectives and targets for continued improvement performance
• Mentoring, coaching and developing team members, delivering development plans for own team aligned with business objectives
• Creates a purpose, vision and clear direction around business objectives for the team
  
  

Priorities

• Ensure STAR/Accidents are captured with corrective actions closed
• Day to day responsibility for driving improved site performance and team discipline
• Prioritise workload and team to drive continued improvement actions
• Drive waste and cost impacts to optimise control costs
• Prompt recognition and actions regarding fault finding and correction of issues
• Ensure constructive handover and capture of all issues is complete
• Regular Health & Safety, Quality, Hygiene inspections and sign off
