Working Hours: Monday to Friday (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Mon–Thu; 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM on Fri)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Site Service Engineer to join a leading industrial services team in Southampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide range of industrial rotating equipment, both on-site and within a workshop setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and maintenance on industrial equipment, including:
- AC and DC motors
- Motorised gearboxes
- Gearboxes, pumps, and fan units
- Other associated rotating machinery
- Fault-find and diagnose defects, identifying worn or damaged components
- Conduct basic electrical testing to evaluate the condition of AC & DC components
- Apply mechanical engineering principles to assess and rectify mechanical faults
- Utilize reclamation techniques and reverse engineering when required
- Work on a variety of pump systems including hot oil and water systems
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of hydraulics and related systems
- Operate both on-site and in the workshop as needed
- Participate in the company’s call-out rota (when required)
Requirements:
- Experience working with rotating equipment in an industrial setting
- Strong mechanical engineering knowledge; electrical skills are a plus
- Ability to work independently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and work occasional extended hours
- Valid CCNSG Safety Passport or equivalent industry certification (mandatory)
- Desirable: Water hygiene passport and customer-specific training (can be provided)
- Relevant qualifications: NVQ/City & Guilds in Fitting, Turning, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
