Site Manager – Solar PV / BESS (Electrical Experience Required)

📍 Location: Hartlepool, England

💼 Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time

We’re seeking a skilled Site Manager with a strong electrical background to lead the on-site delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects, from initial land preparation through to commissioning and handover.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site activities including groundwork, foundations, panel installation, and electrical connections
• Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery
• Plan and maintain project schedules, meeting milestones and deadlines
• Ensure all installations meet technical drawings, manufacturer guidelines, and industry standards
• Supervise testing of PV modules, inverters, and electrical systems to verify performance and compliance
• Enforce HSE protocols, conduct site inspections, and minimise environmental impact
• Monitor material delivery, storage, and usage; oversee equipment maintenance and safe operation
• Provide regular progress updates to clients and liaise with engineers to address technical challenges
• Resolve on-site issues quickly to keep the project on track
• Oversee final commissioning, prepare handover documentation, and provide basic training to operations teams

🎓 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in renewable energy or electrical construction projects
• Strong electrical knowledge, ideally with Solar PV, BESS, or similar systems
• Understanding of HSE protocols, environmental regulations, and grid connection standards
• Excellent leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills

📋 Additional Info

• Up to £65k (DOE), could be some flexibility, 33 days holiday, pension and healthcare
• Full-time site-based role for the duration of the project, with the opportunity to move straight onto another similar Solar PV / BESS project upon completion.
