Your impact
As our
Night Shift Site Manager, you will be assuming overall responsibility for the factory operation during the night shift. You’ll oversee all production and operational activity across our Rainham site during overnight hours from the Kitchen and Production room to the Warehouse and the Hygiene Team. You’ll lead a high-performing team, maintain food safety standards, and ensure everything runs like clockwork while the rest of the world sleeps.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the senior decision-maker during the night shift, lead and manage all night shift operations and be the conduit between night and day shift teams
- Maintain full compliance with food safety, technical, and health & safety standards
- Proactively resolve issues and ensure smooth production flows throughout the shift
- Deliver on shift performance KPIs – from output targets to team attendance
- Coach, support, and develop your team to foster a high-performance culture
- Act as the senior decision-maker on-site during night operations
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance process efficiency
- Collaborate closely with day shift leadership and cross-functional departments
About you
- You’ve got experience managing night shift teams in food manufacturing or FMCG
- You hold a minimum of HACCP Level 3 and are well-versed in compliance and audit readiness – Lean Manufacturing knowledge would also be advantageous
- You're a confident, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills – you’re calm under pressure and quick on your feet
- You’re proactive, organised, and always a step ahead
- You're flexible and resilient – shift work, pace, and change don’t faze you
