Financial Controller – Fintech | London | £70k-£80k + Discretionary Bonus | Permanent

About the Role:
This newly created Finance Manager position offers a unique opportunity to join a lean, dynamic finance team in a high-volume, multi-currency international environment. You will be instrumental in improving financial controls, reporting, and processes, working closely with leadership to drive efficiency and accuracy.
What You’ll Do:
- Own and enhance the budgeting and forecasting models, managing cost analysis (budget vs actuals)
- Lead and coordinate the annual audit and statutory financial reporting (FRS 102)
- Manage FCA regulatory reporting and compliance (experience preferred)
- Oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies
- Handle multi-jurisdictional tax matters including VAT, corporation tax, transfer pricing, and R&D tax credits
- Support forthcoming employee incentive scheme projects and other financial initiatives
- Work within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment to build scalable finance processes
- Mentor a small team of 2 with the view to take on a more direct leadership role
Who You Are:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) (2-7 years post qualification experience) with Fintech or Financial Services background - FCA regulated background is essential
- Experience with FCA reporting and/or employee share plans highly desirable
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, with a proven track record of improving finance functions and processes
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, multi-currency, international business
- Knowledge of VAT, corporation tax, transfer pricing, and preferably R&D tax credits (flexible on this)
- Positive, energetic, and ready to learn and grow within a supportive leadership team
- Able to work from the London office 3 days per week
