SNOC (Security & Network Operations Agent)

Overview
The Security & Network Operations Centre (SNOC) will run 24/7/365 to provide monitoring and alerting of Security & Network-related Events across the contracted service. The SNOC Agent will work on a shift basis to provide continuous coverage of the SNOC and to carry out the triage and resolution of Security & Network-related Events. Where appropriate, these Events will be dealt with as incidents following the ITIL framework, potentially requiring creation of Problem Records and/or Change.
The SNOC provide the primary route into the Service for all Account-related events and act as a 2nd Line Resolver Group for User Issues via the customer's Service Centre (SPoC). Where the SNOC are unable to Resolve the incidents, they can escalate to 3rd Line or to 3
rd Party Resolver Groups, in line with agreed processes and procedures. SNOC investigate potential CVEs, taking action to address and mitigate risks, and undertake simple Service Catalogue Requests type change on behalf of Users.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in 1st and 2nd Line IT Support roles, delivering efficient technical assistance to end users.
- Strong interest in Cyber Security, with a proactive approach to learning and staying current with emerging threats and technologies.
- Solid working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, including troubleshooting and system administration tasks.
- Skilled in incident analysis and problem-solving, with the ability to investigate security events and take initiative to prevent future incidents.
