Role: Snowflake Architect / Engineer

Contract Type: Inside ir35

Work Style: Hybrid. 3 day/week in London office

We are seeking a Snowflake Architect / Engineer to support the development and optimization of a Snowflake-based data platform focused on pre-trade analytics. The platform hosts data from a risk department and enables advanced decision-making and scenario analysis for trading strategies and risk management.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement Snowflake-based data architecture and solutions
Develop efficient ETL/ELT pipelines and support data integration
Collaborate with stakeholders to align data design with trading and risk needs
Support data migration and transformation from legacy systems
Ensure performance, scalability, governance, and security across data assets

Requirements:

Strong expertise in Snowflake
Hands-on experience with AWS services
Proficient in Data Modelling, Data Integration, and Data Software Engineering
Experience delivering in complex data environments
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Certifications in Snowflake
Knowledge of big data technologies, RDBMS systems, and cloud platforms
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and scripting languages
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

Familiarity with Commodity Trading & Risk Management
