ROLE OVERVIEW:
We’re looking for a Social Media Executive to join our growing Social Media team and support the delivery of high-quality, insight-led content across major sporting events and campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, analytical, and organized individual who’s passionate about storytelling through sport, especially golf and women's sport. Thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
You will play a key role in managing content calendars, supporting campaign development, analysing data, and delivering creative ideas. Reporting and insight will be a critical part of your role, helping shape strategy and prove effectiveness.
You’ll be based in our London office but must be comfortable travelling internationally to support key events, especially in the golf space.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Social Media Management:
- Day-to-day management of social channels across Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn
- Engage with followers through comments, DMs and mentions to build and maintain an active and positive community across platforms
- Plan, create, schedule and publish content to support marketing, communications, sponsorship and events activity
Content & Ideation:
- Assist in the development of engaging content and compelling narratives, with a focus on athlete and event storytelling
- Support creation of social assets including Instagram Stories, Reels and TikToks (lo-fi and polished)
- Brief and collaborate with creatives, videographers and photographers
- Stay across cultural trends, platform updates and new content formats
On-Site Event Support:
- Travel to international golf events to provide real-time content coverage and storytelling
- Manage in-event community channels, engaging with fans and amplifying key moments
- Liaise with players, media teams and the internal team to coordinate social output
- Monitor and respond to fan engagement in real-time during live coverage, helping foster an authentic voice and responsive presence at events
Reporting & Analysis:
- Lead on campaign reporting, drawing insights from performance data
- Provide clear, actionable recommendations to guide social strategy and content planning
- Track audience behaviour, engagement patterns, and platform trends
Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams including Strategy, Creative and Production
- Help manage influencers and player activations around key events
Community Management
- Monitor and manage audience interactions across all channels, maintaining a consistent and authentic tone of voice
- Respond to comments, DMs and questions in a timely and professional manner
- Escalate sensitive or reputational issues where needed and manage community sentiment
SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/APTITUDES NEEDED:
Must-Haves:
- Passion for sport, especially storytelling in women’s sport and golf
- 1+ years’ experience in social media marketing
- Solid understanding of Meta, TikTok, X, YouTube and LinkedIn best practices
- Confident working with analytics tools and using data to inform strategy
- Ability to create and curate engaging short-form video content using editing software such as CapCut or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with great attention to detail and time management
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, event-driven environments
- Strong project management and multitasking capabilities
- Creative thinker with an eye for what’s culturally relevant and on-trend
- Open to flexible working hours, when working during events.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous experience in an agency environment
- Hands-on knowledge of social tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite)
- Familiarity with paid social media strategies
- Experience working with athletes or influencers
- Knowledge or interest in golf and golf culture
