The Role
We have an opportunity for a passionate, committed and creative Social Worker in the Independence and Wellbeing Service's Community Facing Team covering Mid Cornwall.
This is a full time position a role where you'll use evidence based practice to deliver strengths based and holistic outcomes.
Within this team, the social work focus is initial contact and assessment work to gather information and consider the most appropriate next steps utilising a solutions focused approach. This would include providing information and advice, responding to Safeguarding Concerns, signposting, connecting to other agencies, working closely with the voluntary sector, progressing to reablement or undertaking an assessment with a focus on maximising independence and wellbeing through utilising social care and occupational therapy pathways.
This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
We welcome applications from newly qualified Social workers (NQSW) who need to complete their first Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE). Please refer to Grade 3 Social Worker (Adults) role profile when applying.
You Will Be a Social Worker Qualified With a Social Work Degree, Social Work Qualification (Dip. SW) Or Equivalent And Registered With Social Work England, Who Will Have
Should your experience as a social worker be within another sector (such as Children’s Social Care or the Voluntary sector), we provide additional support to transition into adult social work through a supported induction period.
