You’ll guide your team through complex projects, champion best practices, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions that meet the needs of the council and its residents.Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of developers to achieve excellence.Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from concept to deployment.Champion best practices in software design, architecture, and coding.Collaborate with project managers to deliver projects on time and to spec.Drive innovation through automation, performance optimisation, and continuous improvement.Manage service transitions and support ITIL process improvements.Act as Incident Manager during critical events and provide expert-level support.🧠 What we’re looking for:We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a passion for leadership. You’ll bring a blend of hands-on development experience and strategic oversight, with the ability to inspire your team and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.A degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.Proven experience in .NET/.NET 5+, C#, Microsoft Azure, APIs, and Power Platform.Strong grasp of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and DevOps methodologies.Experience in managing SharePoint and complex system integrations.Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.A passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous improvement.✅ Bonus Points ForIf you bring additional qualifications or experience, that’s a big plus.
