Software Engineer

Role: Software Developer (Laravel, PHP, JavaScript, SQL)

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000

Location: Norwich (On-Site)

An exciting opportunity for a skilled Software Developer to join my client — an innovative and growing technology company based in Norwich. You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining scalable software systems using modern web technologies, working closely with a passionate in-house team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust web applications using Laravel, PHP, JavaScript, and SQL
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Write clean, well-structured, and testable code
• Optimise backend systems and ensure database performance
• Participate in technical discussions and code reviews
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies

About You:

• 2+ years’ experience working with Laravel and SQL in a commercial environment
• Solid understanding of PHP and JavaScript
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and RESTful APIs
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies
