About the Role
We are seeking skilled and motivated Solar Installation Engineers to join our rapidly growing renewable energy division. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of solar PV systems on residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Install rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and site plans
- Perform electrical wiring, panel mounting, and inverter connections
- Conduct inspections and system testing (including fault diagnosis)
- Ensure compliance with UK HSE and building regulations
- Work collaboratively with site managers, electricians, and other engineers
- Complete accurate installation reports and handover documentation
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in solar PV installations (roof or ground-mounted)
- Proven electrical background (City & Guilds 2382-18 or equivalent preferred)
- Familiarity with UK construction site safety procedures
- Valid CSCS / ECS card (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Full driving licence preferred
- IELTS/PTE (if required by visa rules)
Preferred Qualifications
- City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Solar PV or BESS installation training/certification
