As an in-house adult social care lawyer, you will be providing an enhanced legal service to the Council’s Adult Social Care Team which will involve handling a caseload of complex legal matters with minimal supervision. You will also be responsible for making a positive contribution to the continuous improvement in the quality and cost effectiveness of the service.
You will be a qualified solicitor or barrister, with excellent knowledge and experience of adult social care law and practice. You will have an extensive knowledge of care legislation and of the changes relating to the Care Act 2014. You will have experience of solving legal problems, creatively applying untested legal principles where appropriate. You must have experience with advocacy.
