We are seeking a highly experienced Application Development (AD) Solution Architect with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Retail to lead the design and roadmap of the application development landscape for a strategic engagement. The architect will be responsible for assessing the current AD ecosystem, defining the target landscape, and guiding the implementation of tools and technologies to enable efficient, scalable, and high-quality SAP development.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with stakeholders to understand the current AD landscape, including tools, technologies, and processes used across the SDLC.
Assess existing tools and identify those that can be retained or optimized in the new development model.
Define the target AD ecosystem, incorporating both client’s existing tools and new tools proposed by HCLTech.
Develop a comprehensive toolset and framework to support efficient SAP application development and lifecycle management.
Build a maturity roadmap for implementing the target AD landscape, including timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
Present and align the implementation roadmap with client’s IT leadership and governance teams.
Integrate DevOps practices and establish CI/CD pipelines to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.
Define and enforce quality control standards across the development lifecycle to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SAP functional leads, developers, DevOps engineers, and infrastructure teams.
Required Skills:
10+ years of experience in SAP solution architecture, with a strong focus on S/4HANA Retail and application development.
Proven experience in designing and implementing AD landscapes, including tool selection and SDLC optimization.
Strong understanding of SAP development tools, methodologies, and integration frameworks.
Experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipeline setup, and automated testing frameworks.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience working in retail or fashion industry SAP environments.
Familiarity with SAP BTP, Fiori, Git-based version control, and API management.
Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, JIRA, ServiceNow, and other ITSM or ALM tools.
Exposure to cloud-native development, event-driven architectures, and security/compliance frameworks.
SAP certification in Solution Architecture or S/4HANA Retail is a plus.
