Job Title: Payments Senior Solution/Enterprise Architect

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Payments Senior Solution/Enterprise Architect to lead strategic initiatives across multiple geographies. This role will contribute to the definition of architecture reference models, support the design and integration of payment solutions, and foster collaboration across Client subsidiaries and client platforms. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in payments architecture, strong stakeholder management skills, and a forward-looking vision of the payments industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain architecture reference models for payment systems.
- Participate in the discovery phase of initiatives to shape client-specific strategies.
- Support design phases to ensure delivery of high-value products for customers, financial institutions, and the open market.
- Provide strategic insights into the evolution of the payments industry, anticipating future capabilities and challenges.
- Promote asset reuse and cross-country collaboration across initiatives.
- Manage relationships with CTO, CIO, and CDO areas of Client subsidiaries and other client organizations.
- Define integration architectures with client platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 10 years in senior IT roles, with a focus on payments architecture.
- Proven experience as a Solution or Enterprise Architect in the payments domain.
Skills & Knowledge:
Payments Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of SWIFT and SWIFT messaging standards.
- Expertise in CHAPS and international payment systems.
- Experience with MT to MX mapping and message translation.
- Functional understanding of the payments industry and its regulatory landscape.
Architecture & Technology:
- Strong conceptual and synthesis skills for high-level architecture design.
- Experience with integration architecture, operating models, and implementation strategies.
- Proficiency in technologies such as:
- Microservices architecture and orchestration
- Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Quarkus, Serverless
- Cloud platforms and services
- ISO20022, SOAP, REST APIs
- Messaging systems
- Relational and NoSQL databases
- DevOps and agile development methodologies
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage in high-level strategic discussions and decision-making forums.
- Proactive, logical thinker with a strong ability to learn and adapt.
