Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced D365 CE Solution Architect to design and lead enterprise-scale solutions across Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE), Customer Insights – Data & Journeys, Power Platform, and Azure.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end solution architecture, journey strategy, integration blueprint, and governance model for customer engagement platforms. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing customer experience solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Leadership

Lead architecture design across Dynamics 365 CE, Customer Insights (Data + Journeys), Power Platform, and Azure.
Define and own the enterprise architecture blueprint for customer engagement.
Provide technical leadership and governance across implementation teams.

Ensure scalable, secure, and extensible solution design aligned with business objectives.

Customer Insights & Segmentation Strategy

Define and implement segmentation strategies including:
Static segments
Real-time segments
Incremental / batch-based segments
Design data models and integration patterns to support audience management at scale.

Customer Journey Architecture

Architect real-time customer journeys using:
Event-based triggers
Branching logic
Personalisation tokens
Suppression rules
Throttling controls
Frequency capping
Ensure journeys are performant, compliant, and optimised for engagement.

Channel & Deliverability Ownership

Own email and SMS channel readiness, including:
Domain authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
Deliverability strategy and monitoring
Email warm-up plans
Bounce and complaint management
Ensure best practices for inbox placement and reputation management.

Integration & Event Architecture

Design and implement end-to-end event-driven architecture using:
Azure Event Grid
Azure Service Bus
Azure Functions
Logic Apps
Dataverse event integration
Define integration patterns between D365 CE, external systems, and third-party providers.
Enable secure and scalable real-time data exchange across platforms.

Skills & Experience

Essential

8+ years of experience with Dynamics 365 CE.
Strong hands-on experience delivering Customer Insights – Journeys implementations.
Proven experience designing enterprise-grade customer engagement solutions.
Deep expertise in segmentation, journey orchestration, and marketing automation.
Strong knowledge of Azure integration services:
Azure Functions
Logic Apps
Event Grid
Service Bus
Experience integrating D365 with third-party systems and external marketing platforms.

Desirable

Experience with Power Platform governance and ALM.
Experience with event-driven architectures in enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of data modelling and customer data platforms.
Background in large-scale digital transformation programmes.
