design and operate it to make better decisions in a fast-moving and complex environment.

To achieve this, we collaborate with and connect the most important stakeholders in the global technology and services supply chain, curating and creating always-on content, learning, and events that support the mission-critical workforce.

We have been publishing content, L&D programs, and running events exclusively for the data

center industry since 1998. As such, we are a trusted source of information for industry

insiders across the world. Our web traffic is over 20,000,000 PV each year and we engage an active database of 300,000+ professionals across the digital infrastructure ecosystem.

We help organisations that want to influence this market build highly targeted, underwritten,

multichannel marketing campaigns that are aligned to modern B2B tech-buyer journeys.

They deliver attributable pipeline and revenue impact which our sales intelligence platform reports in real-time.

DCD>Academy provides corporate learning and development solutions that are tailored to our clients, improving operational performance and reducing staff turnover. The operational

impact is reported vs industry benchmarks to ensure long-term and scalable learning

solutions.

About the opportunity:

Datacenter Dynamics is looking for an experienced journalist to join our growing editorial team to support our Spanish-language coverage of the digital infrastructure industry.

With more than 20 million page views a year and a community measuring in the hundreds of thousands, DCD is a media, conference, and training company that serves the digital infrastructure market.

DCD is looking for a reporter to support our coverage of the data center and telecoms markets in Iberia and Latin America.

We are looking for someone with experience in writing and/or journalism. The successful candidate will be fluent in Spanish with a good grasp of English; Portuguese would also be desirable.

You will be expected to write daily news stories for our audience of data center owners, operators, and suppliers, as well as write regular features for our website, magazine, and supplements. You will also be involved in panel hosting online and in-person events, as well as video content.

Coverage areas include:

  • Data center construction & operation
  • Power and cooling
  • Energy and sustainability
  • Cloud computing
  • Telecoms, including terrestrial and subsea fiber
  • Supercomputing
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Semiconductors
  • Regulation and current affairs

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing and writing daily news for the Spanish website as well as longer features and interview pieces.
  • Managing freelance journalists
  • Meeting and interviewing key members of the data center industry, locally and abroad
  • Attend DCD’s own events as well as wider industry events globally
  • Represent the company professionally, demonstrating the company’s culture and values at all times

Ideally, you will have:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent (for example, NUJ accreditation)
  • Some journalism or writing experience
  • An interest in the technology industry and its ramifications
  • Fluency in Spanish and English. Portuguese is desirable.

An ideal candidate would have some relevant journalism experience or qualifications. Demonstrable interest and/or experience around technology or construction is not necessary, but would be beneficial.

This role will be a mix of office and remote working; DCD’s UK office is based in London. Some international travel may be expected on occasion.

Interested candidates should contact [email protected] and [email protected] with a short introductory cover letter, CV, and examples of work. References and a writing test may be asked for.

DCD is an inclusive workplace; we want to welcome you to the team regardless of background, gender, identity, sexual orientation, beliefs, age, or other experiences.
