Registered Children’s Nurse to join our forward-thinking
Special Needs Nursing Service in Manchester. This is a
12-month fixed-term role working Monday - Friday
32.5 hours per week, Term-Time only, where you will play a key role in supporting children and young people (CYP) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
The applicant needs to be a car driver and owner, and be able to cover the citywide service area in Manchester.
Excellent communication, organisational, IT and leadership skills.
Deliver evidence-based nursing care to children with Complex Medical Needs and SEND in school and community settings.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to deliver high-quality care. Ability to assess, plan and implement care to CYP with complex health needs
Provide specialist health promotion tailored to children with SEND, with a focus on improving health outcomes.
Work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to support children with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Complex Health Needs.
Provide care plans and deliver training to school staff, parents and caregivers to ensure the CYP can safely attend school.
Act as an advocate and safeguard vulnerable children
