We’re looking for a detail-oriented and solutions-driven
Workday Systems Specialist to join our People team at NewDay. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimising our Workday platform to support a seamless and effective employee experience.
Acting as the go-to expert for system issues and enhancements, you’ll manage technical configurations, coordinate upgrades, ensure data accuracy, and support cross-functional teams to deliver smart, scalable solutions.

What will you be doing day-to-day?
- (As part of a larger team) configure, test, maintain and optimise Workday system at NewDay, ensuring data integrity while improving system functionality.
- Execute advanced configuration tasks in Workday, such as business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, EIB, and security roles.
- Manage the JIRA ticketing board of the team (through which system Change Requests are submitted)
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR system issues, escalating technical problems when necessary
- Coordinate system upgrades, testing and implementation of new features or modules
- Produce and maintain system process documentation
- Provide training to end users where appropriate
- Work with the Head of Digital People Solutions and People Leadership Team to prioritise work considering alignment to strategy, effort required and level of impact
- Work closely with colleagues across the People Team (and occasionally the wider business) to understand requirements
- Work with IT teams to collaborate on more complex changes, e.g. integrations
- Work with external providers e.g. AMS/system partners to deliver solutions
Your Skills And Experience
- Has certifications in Workday
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and high level of data accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience of the HR cycle
