Applications are sought for a Specialist in Cellular Pathology to join a dynamic team of eleven consultants working in the Cellular Pathology department at St Richard’s Chichester which is one of the sites at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (UHSussex).
The post is a whole-time equivalent permanent post.
The department has a large and varied workload with a system of generalist reporting. An applicant would ideally be able to report two or three sub-specialities.
The Histopathology department is undergoing an accelerated period of change following the creation of UHSussex and the formation of a larger pathology network. There are opportunities for service development with full executive support. We would like to appoint a consultant to be part of these once in a generation changes. One exciting example is the implementation of a complete digital histopathology solution.
The University hospitals of Sussex NHS trust spans both East and West Sussex, providing care for a highly populated stretch of the south coast.

The post would be based at St Richard’s Hospital site in Chichester.
