Working for our organisation
These posts provide an opportunity to pursue a consultant career in
Acute Internal Medicine (+/- Specialty interest) at Airedale Hospital
which is situated between the spectacular Yorkshire Dales and the
cosmopolitan centres of Bradford and Leeds.
This is a dynamic department, and the successful applicant will be
required to contribute to ongoing service development. We expect
involvement in our existing quality improvement projects and welcome
ideas for new work streams. We strongly encourage leadership
development.
There is a trust leadership programme in place and study leave is
encouraged for this. We also believe in maintaining work life balance
and mentoring is offered to new and current consultant employees of
the Trust.
We are always looking for enterprising and innovative approaches to the way we provide our services. We are a national centre for telemedicine and introduced telehealth to the UK offender healthcare sector and also provide a similar service to patients in their care homes. Community matters to us and we are supported by 400 dedicated volunteers and have strong links with Leeds Medical School, Bradford University, Craven College and Leeds City College to ensure we inspire the workforce of the future.
We want to attract staff who embrace our ‘Right Care’ behaviours of compassion, a commitment to quality of care and working together for patients – we want to make this part of our DNA.
