About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contracts Negotiator to join our Wiley Research Sales Contracts team. This role will focus on negotiating License Agreements with well-established Academic customers around the world. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Sales team and Legal Department; they will also have the ability to understand and will be accountable for applying established contractual workflow and controls.
How You Will Make An Impact
- You will represent Wiley in negotiations with global customers from the Academic, Government, and Corporate sectors, securing the most advantageous terms to enhance our market position.
- You will manage complex contractual projects from start to finish, coordinating with various internal stakeholders, tracking progress, updating status, promoting discussion, and resolving outstanding issues.
- You will ensure that contracts within your purview are compliant with the SOX Act, Wiley’s policies, and recommended guidelines, maintaining proof of compliance.
- You will handle queries, document reviews, and contract executions in multiple languages, with the assistance of translators and Sales colleagues in the region.
- You will operate from an innovative Contracts Lifecycle Management system equipped with advanced data reporting and analysis features that will enhance your work efficiency and effectiveness.
- Your role is pivotal in streamlining Wiley's contract and revenue operations, ensuring legal compliance, and contributing to the company's success in the competitive publishing market.

- Experience with contractual compliance workflow and implementation (e.g., SOX Act)

- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail, capable of prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple projects involving various stakeholders.
- Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish with excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in other languages is also valued.
- Possess strong interpersonal abilities that help you build strong partnerships both internally and externally.

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the United Kingdom, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
