An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and dynamic Physiotherapist with skills in the fields of respiratory and Neurology. The neurosurgery team is a large Multidisciplinary team incorporating acute neurosurgical and ENT/ Max fax surgery wards, general and neurosurgical critical care and delivers innovative and evidence based therapy to a wide range of complex neurological presentations.
We are looking for applicants who would like the opportunity to develop caseload management skills including complex cases within the field of respiratory and neurology including critical care, ENT/ max fax and acute neurology. The successful candidate would have supervision from the neurosurgical Clinical Specialist physiotherapist and the opportunity to work with other senior specialist clinicians.
There will be the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in the range of interventions required to provide assessment and rehabilitation for patients within the Neurology Division.
This a permanent post. There may be opportunities for a secondment if required.
This post provides the opportunity to develop leadership skills and contribute to the development of the Physiotherapy Service within this area and be involved in ongoing service development for the whole team.

Candidates Will Need To Demonstrate
- Extensive experience as a qualified therapist.
- Post graduate experience; sufficient to acquire core competencies in Physiotherapy practice in Neurology and respiratory conditions.
- The knowledge and skills to manage a complex Neurological caseload.
- Effective Interpersonal, communication and team working skills
- Experience of emergency on call.
