Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 therapist, split across our Clinics and Community Paediatric Dysphagia teams. We have a large team with SLTs across all bandings, SLTAs as well as admin support. We are consistently growing with new investment to continue to meet the communication/feeding needs of children in Wandsworth.
Main duties of the job
You Will Need:
Experience and specialist skills working with children in their early years with a range of communication needs.
Experience and specialist skills assessing, diagnosing, treating and managing a caseload of children with dysphagia (with support).
Ability to work flexibly and independently where necessary.
Enthusiasm, imagination and initiative.
Main Duties:
To assess, diagnose, treat and manage a caseload of children with complex developmental delays/disorders in relation to feeding and dysphagia in a community setting (with support and supervision).
To assess, treat and manage children with a range of communication needs, with and without an EHCP, in clinic.
Support and supervision of SLT students and junior staff.

About Us
St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provide services from two main hospitals, St George's Hospital and Queen Mary's Hospital, and many health clinics across the Wandsworth borough.
The Children's Therapy team consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech and language therapists. Therapists work in multi-disciplinary/multi agency teams across the borough of Wandsworth.

- Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent
- HCPC registration and RCSLT registration
- NQP competencies completed
Experience

- Relevant experience post qualification working as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Relevant post graduate experience in assessment and intervention of children aged 1-12 years with a variety of speech, language and communication difficulties in school settings
- Experience of providing clinical supervision
- Experience of delivering trainings/courses to education staff
