The Role

We’re looking for a Specification Technologist who loves accuracy, structure, and a well-organised spec system. You’ll be the go-to person for making sure our product, raw material, and packaging specifications are spot-on, compliant, and always up to date.

If spreadsheets, portals, and food labels make you happier than they probably should… you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Creating, updating, and maintaining product, raw material, and packaging specifications
• Owning customer and retailer specification portals
• Making sure everything complies with UK/EU food legislation and allergen requirements
• Chasing suppliers (politely but persistently) for accurate technical information
• Supporting NPD with reliable, right-first-time data
• Keeping specs audit-ready and version-controlled
• Answering technical questions without panic

About You

• Experience in specifications or a technical role within food manufacturing
• A solid understanding of food labelling, allergens, and compliance
• Naturally organised, detail-focused, and calm under pressure
• Confident working with systems, portals, and Excel
• A good communicator who enjoys working with others
• Food Science / Food Technology qualification
• Retailer experience
• Knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, or food safety systems

Monday - Friday, 42 1/2 hours a week
