The Opportunity
Are you a competent swimmer who currently holds or is looking to acquire an NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification)? Do you have a ‘can-do’ attitude and are you passionate about delivering great service? Then join us in welcoming over 1 million visitors per annum to the University of Edinburgh Sport facilities, by helping maintain some of the best sport and fitness facilities in the UK. With wellbeing a key priority for many, the Edinburgh Sport team are here to support our members and their training needs in a safe, fun and inclusive sport environment.
We are looking to appoint 10x Guaranteed Hours Sports Assistants (Lifeguards) to support the St. Leonard’s Land service delivery. Candidates must understand the importance of team culture and demonstrate how their contribution will make a positive impact. Candidates must possess a high level of energy and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
A generous offer of professional development opportunities will be provided for those wishing to advance their learning and skills development, as well as on the job training, mentoring and support.
Working a varied shift pattern, consisting of early mornings, day shifts, and evenings, you will share responsibility with a team of Sports Assistants for engaging Edinburgh Sport members with the sole aim of enhancing their experience.
