Turning Passion into Purpose. We are excited to be recruiting a Sports Centre Duty Manager to join our LSBU Active team and support the day-to-day running of our sport and fitness facilities at the Southwark Campus.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Duty Manager to join our team and gain valuable, transferable skills. You’ll take on key responsibilities including “manager on duty” supervision and opening/closing the facility.
You'll have the chance to build skills in facility management by supporting continuous service improvement through internal and external audits:
- Ensuring consistent health and safety compliance
- Contributing to income and occupancy targets
- Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Working with senior managers to deliver a high quality customer experience.
About You
We're looking for someone who brings energy, professionalism, and a passion for sport and physical activity. You will have:
- Experience working in a leisure or sports environment
- A strong commitment to delivering first-class customer service
- Relevant experience acting as manager on duty
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation in a sport setting
- Appropriate first aid knowledge/qualifications
You’ll be passionate about the positive impact sport and physical activity can have on individuals and communities. If successful, you will play a key role in supporting our customer-focused service model, ensuring a high-quality experience for all users of our facilities.
