About The Role
As a Sports Coach, you will play a vital role in inspiring and developing pupils across a range of sports, including rugby, football, hockey, netball, and summer sports such as cricket and rounders. Your primary responsibility is to deliver engaging coaching sessions, assist with fixtures and events, and support the overall operation of the PE department. You will oversee team preparations on match days, officiate as needed, and contribute to nurturing a positive sporting culture. In addition, you will handle administrative tasks such as equipment management, fixture arrangements, and organising school sports events. You will also have opportunities to develop your coaching expertise, undertake safeguarding responsibilities, and support students’ physical development and well-being. Flexibility to work weekends and evenings may be required, and you will be encouraged to pursue continuous professional development through training and new qualifications.
This is a permanent, full-time role with a proposed September 2025 start date.

You are someone with a passion for sport and a positive attitude towards working with children and young people. You possess relevant coaching qualifications, experience delivering coaching sessions to 11-18-year-olds, and the ability to confidently supervise groups. Your excellent communication skills, resilience, and ability to work independently and as part of a team make you an ideal candidate. You demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and student welfare and are eager to grow and expand your coaching expertise. A full, clean driving licence and a proactive approach to contributing to school life are essential. If you are motivated to inspire students and develop your coaching career in a supportive environment, we would love to hear from you.
