As a Physiotherapist in the Sports Injury Clinic, you will deliver outstanding physiotherapy and rehabilitation support to students, staff and local community members with a view to enhancing the reputation and sustainability of the sports injury clinic, supporting the performance objectives of the University. This position supports the clinical lead in the delivery, development and governance of all services including performance sport provision and hydrotherapy. There is enormous opportunity to develop your skills across a range of services and with a wide variety of patients and athletes.
The clinic works closely with the Division of Physiotherapy and Sport Rehabilitation to provide practise education placements. Clinical education is integral to the Physiotherapy / Sports Rehabilitation delivery and student-led clinics are an innovative way of combining both. Clinical supervision of both undergraduate and postgraduate students allows you to develop the next generation of clinicians in a unique environment.
We need someone who is self-motivated and able to work as an effective team member with excellent interpersonal skills. Experience in both NHS and performance sport is desired but not essential. You will also need an ability to teach and pass on knowledge and experience as a practice educator.
