AspenTech is seeking a senior engineer position within our Professional Services organization based in Warrington, UK.

Your Impact
As an AspenTech Senior Consultant Engineer you will provide consulting to clients implementing our software with a specific focus on the Industrial Data Fabric and MES products: AspenTech Inmation and InfoPlus.21 families. The successful individual will be responsible for undertaking consulting services for AspenTech clients in the oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, food & bev, and metals & mining industries, with opportunities to engage in projects around the world.
You will be a key driving force in delivering Industrial Data Management and MES technology to new and existing customers. You will become an expert in the configuration and use of our platform, onboarding new customers and ensuring that all their requirements are met. As well as working with internal product management, marketing, and sales teams, you will also regularly communicate with customers via email, web calls, and face-to-face meetings.
- Technical leadership on Industrial Data Management and MES implementation projects. This includes:
- Gathering customer requirements and translating those into high-level solution designs for the Industrial Data Management and MES products (AspenTech Inmation and InfoPlus.21 families).
- Defining and implementing data integration with external systems and people.
- Utilizing our technology to enable broader solutions using the entire portfolio of AspenTech software.
- Deliver technical and quality documents such as Functional Specifications, Detailed Design Documents, IQ, OQ, and Factory, Site, and User Acceptance Test Documents.
- Be confident, capable, and have the ability to play a leading role on projects.
- Demonstrate collaboration with the AspenTech Project Management team, involving technical and non-technical aspects of the project.
- Formulating business processes to support the systems.
- Working with clients to implement the systems.
- Commissioning the completed systems which may require on site monitoring and analysis.
- Participation in commercial proposal development and testing of software upgrades.
- Conducting demonstrations, training, requirements analysis and system design workshops.
What You'll Need
- 4 - 8 years of experience implementing Manufacturing Execution system software in one or more of the process industries listed above.
- Experience with programming languages such as Lua, .NET, VB, C++, SQL etc. Strong technical programming background is a plus.
- Experience with implementation of real-time databases or historians, particularly Aspen InfoPlus.21.
- Experience with Industrial Data Management concepts such as Data Lakes, Master Data Management, Unified Namespace etc.
- Ability to travel (typical 15-25% travel on a calendar basis).
- Multi project experience serving as a technical lead in systems implementations.
- Understanding of information security principals and challenges faced when integrating cross-functional processes across large organizations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Fluency in English. Other language skills are a plus.
