Inbound vision is to ensure a continuous flow of shipments with no (or minimal) disruption, from our selling partners to Amazon sites. To keep selection growing as part of our flywheel, while driving cost to serve down, we need to integrate more with our shippers and carriers and build our three-year strategies in cooperation with them.
Amazon currently seeks a creative, dynamic and experienced Sr. Program Manager to join the Supply Chain team. This role will contribute to the operationalization, design and management of an inbound cross-dock product that support our end vision, focusing. The successful candidate will work with internal (Supply Chain, Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), Retail and FBA) and external (Carriers) business partners.
Key job responsibilities
- Operationalize a new innovative cross-dock inbound products, using different infrastructures, within the end-to-end Supply Chain function following standardization practises from our EU-wide Fulfilment network flows.
- Identify gaps and opportunities in operational processes to improve costs & operational excellence that compliment our Supply Chain's topology.
- Own cost-to-serve and operational excellence metrics and drive improvements with respective owners.
- Develop weekly/monthly/quarterly mechanisms to drive visibility on initiatives in the inbound space and performance
- Work with Ops and Tech teams to develop processes and products to identify and reduce costs.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience in program or project management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading process improvements
