We are seeking a Band 5 Registered Nurse to come and join our enthusiastic, friendly and well supported team. This is a permanent, part time position.
The Surgical Ambulatory care receiving unit (SACRU) is an ACP-led same day emergency care assessment unit at Wythenshawe Hospital. It was created to provide a more enhanced patient focused service and reduce the amount of GP referrals coming into ED. It helps to facilitate accelerated ward discharges and reduce the amount of unnecessary general surgical admissions. This is a crucial role which will involve working alongside our ACP's helping to maintaining clinical efficiency , patient safety and ensuring a supportive environment for both staff and patients. You will possess adept communication skills, be motivated and eager to embrace variety in a fast-paced environment.
The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process. Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students. The post holder will take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and the maintenance of high standards of quality
