Are you caring, compassionate and committed to providing the best care for patients? Do you enjoy fast paced acute medicine? If this is you, we have a rare Band 5 vacancy on our Medical Short Stay(MSS) ward at The Royal United Hospital.
MSS is an 18 bedded acute medical ward receiving patients from MAU and ED who require treatment and discharge within 72 hours. We have 8 monitored beds and the ability to monitor patients via telemetry. We support front door flow.
We are seeking enthusiastic Band 5 Nurses who have a passion for Acute Medicine. You will work closely with HCA's, OT's, Physiotherapists, Medics, and many different specialties . You will be part of our dynamic nurturing team of Sister's Staff Nurses and HCSW's with a passion and knowledge of Acute Medicine and a desire to deliver exceptional care.

Main duties of the job
A Band 5 nurse on MSS is responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing needs, planning and implementing care, and evaluating outcomes. They work under the supervision of more senior nurses and may also delegate tasks to healthcare assistants. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient records, administering medications, and communicating with patients and their families. They also play a role in educating patients and other staff members.
