Staff Nurse, London Burns Centre - Burns, Band 5
An amazing opportunity has arisen for Band 5 clinic job for a Staff Nurse to join the specialist team at the Adult Burns Centre, based in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
The unit is comprised of, 2x ITU, 2x HDU, 12x Ward beds, 2x Outpatient clinics rooms; we also have an operating theatre within the unit. The centre works within the wider London and South East England Burns Network, being a leading centre for Burns care throughout South East England.
We are looking for NMC registered staff nurses with 12 months or more general nursing experience who would like the opportunity to gain experience in this exciting and specialist field. Candidates should have a keen interest in Burns/Plastic Surgery or HDU. Candidates must be enthusiastic to learn new skills and knowledge within the Burns speciality.

The Staff Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of high quality patient care, whilst working in close co-operation and collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
The Staff Nurse Will
- Provide high quality clinical care to patients, in line with the Trust values and in accordance with professional regulations. Accept delegated responsibility for specific activities/areas from the senior nurse in charge
- Work in line with Trust policies, objectives, protocols and local guidelines, whilst also being aware of the importance of their role in supporting members of the team, and always adhering to the Trust values, and in accordance with NMC regulations.
- Work autonomously and with others to always deliver high standards of care to patients and their careers, autonomously and as part of a team.
- Communicate in line with Trust values, to patients, careers and staff at all times.
- Take every opportunity to continue to develop, practice and expand their own general and specialist nursing skills.
- Maintain high standards of professional and ethical responsibility, and accountability and be aware of the medico-legal aspects of nursing, in line with professional, regulating and local guidance.
