We are excited to invite you to join the dedicated Medical Acute Dependency Unit (MADU) nursing team at Wexham Park Hospital, part of the Medicine Directorate.
Our 16-bedded MADU Provides High-quality Care For Acutely Unwell Patients, With Facilities For Full Cardiac Monitoring And Non-invasive Ventilation. We Deliver Level 1 And Level 2 Care For a Wide Range Of Conditions, Including
Gastrointestinal bleeds
Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)
Type 1 & Type 2 respiratory failure requiring non-invasive ventilation
Heart failure
Severe electrolyte imbalances
Central and arterial line monitoring

Main duties of the job
- Provision of nursing care for patients with a variety of acute conditions
- Co-ordinating the care of patients across the multi-disciplinary team
- Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual patient care with minimal supervision
- To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that treatments are correctly carried out in accordance with given policy
