The eye clinic is the largest out patients department in the trust and we treat patients of all age groups.
Ophthalmic care is a fast paced service. Ophthalmology demand is constantly increasing due to an aging population and treatment changes becoming more available, allowing more eye conditions to be treated long term.
The staff nurses role is to ensure the ophthalmic patient has been assessed and had all tests required to support clinical examination by the doctor.
