Description

Skills and Competencies

Proven track record of delivering robust backend systems in Python, Rust, C#, Java, or other modern programming languages.
Strong experience designing and building scalable APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects from concept to production.
Confident in communication with other parts of the organization, to ensure that we are correctly prioritising and building the correct thing fo our customers.
Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams with a focus on continuous delivery.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to mentor junior engineers.
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or integration of AI features into backend systems is a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be entrusted with building and maintaining our backend services, you will need to work closely with a variety of teams and stakeholders across the organization.

Design, develop, and maintain backend services that power our core platforms.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define technical solutions and deliver high-impact features.
Lead architectural discussions and drive best practices in code quality, testing, and performance.
Contribute to the evolution of our engineering culture through mentorship and technical leadership.
Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve system performance and developer productivity
