Job Introduction

An opportunity is available for a Storekeeper based at our Central Midlands Distribution Store in Huthwaite.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a safe and efficient materials handling service whilst at all times adhering to the relevant Health and Safety and Environmental legislation.

Main Responsibilities

Your Main Duties Will Include

  • Providing an effective materials selection and goods receiving service
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and well organised working environment
  • Ensuring the security of stock
  • Carrying out regular stock checks
  • Contributing towards the overall productivity and efficiency of the Stores Team
  • Undertaking and completing tasks with the minimum supervision to quality, time and cost targets
  • Liaising with the Stores Team Leader and Senior Storekeepers to provide the necessary quality of service in order to meet customer and Company requirements

Ideal Candidate

You will have experience of working in a warehouse environment (both goods in and goods out) with some product knowledge and stock control techniques. You will be a good communicator and be confident both picking and issuing goods to our engineers using our RF scanners. Some of our stock can be stored up to 10 meters therefore being comfortable working at heights is required.

A full and valid driving licence is essential along with Health and Safety awareness. There will be a requirement to be trained in the use of Fork Lift Trucks and other material handling equipment.

This role is subject to a satisfactory Barring Service, (DBS) check, depending on the role different levels of screening and vetting are required. Some roles require a triannual check.
