Reporting to: Stores Supervisor
Hours of Work:
39 hours per week

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, you will be responsible for the management and control of bought in parts (BIP’s), including ordering, receipting and issuing, both in the main Production Stores and at the Lineside locations. Stock rotation, quality and stock counts will be a key element of the role
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Operating forklift/pallet/reach trucks and other machinery as required.
- Unpacking/checking/putting away incoming goods against delivery notes.
- Issuing of stock to production departments using pick list’s.
- Manage and control the levels of kanban parts at line locations throughout the factory, using kanban card set order levels.
- Work as part of a cross-departmental team to support production.
- Coordinate and deal with production shortage requests for bought in parts.
- Use of the Oracle based system to check quantities, transfer goods and set default receiving locations.
- To assist in daily/monthly cycle counts and stock checks when required.
- To complete relevant documentation and administration for each process as required.
- Identify potential areas for stock inaccuracy to be eliminated, to avoid financial adjustment.
- Physically rotate stock to ensure FIFO methods are employed
- Participate in TIP and continuous improvement projects when required.
- Employ safe working practices in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and comply with factory regulations.
- Work together with all Stores/line-side personnel to cover the whole factory as one supply team.
What you’ll bring:
Experience & Qualifications
- Educated to a minimum of GCSE level or equivalent at Grade C or above.
- Good IT knowledge, Basic Office Package.
- Experience in a busy stores\manufacturing environment (preferably with some stock control experience).
- TMS\Oracle\MRP experience a distinct advantage
- Knowledge of inventory control, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- A good standard of I.T. skills and should have previous experience of MS Office.
- Previous forklift experience would be a distinct advantage
- Full clean driving licence.

- Ability to work on own initiative with a “can do\make it happen” attitude is essential.
- Ability to be a good team player and follow instruction to meet strict deadlines.
- Have good attention to detail and to be steady under pressure.
- Good numerical, literacy and accuracy skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- Strong Communication Skills.
- This job involves moderate to heavy lifting.
