About The Role
The Stores Manager will supervise procurement and logistics of supplies, optimise and maintain the maximum and minimum stock levels to ensure the provision of timely and professional stores service which meets the requirements of Balfour Beatty Rail team.
What you'll be doing
To monitor and maintain the integrity of the stock holdings across all UK Balfour
Beatty stores within Stone blower.
To arrange and carry out stock takes on a regular basis.
To ensure the stores are well organised and maintaining a safe environment at all
times.
Continuous development of stores procedures and ensure compliance.
Monitor stock holding levels and trends, identifying and recommending adjustment in
levels in-line with business demands.
Produce monthly reports
Train users how to use Oracle inventory.
Identify opportunities for using Microsoft tools within stores processes.
Project Mobilisation/Demobilisation on Oracle Inventory and physical stores set up.
Support the divestment process with consolidation of parts held on inventory
applicable to the asset(s)
Who we're looking for
The Following Qualities/experiences Are Essential
Attention to detail, Process driven & Self-motivated
Logical and methodical approach to managing the stores stocks
Previous experience of stock control systems
A good understanding of the fundamental stores processes, materials management and inventory systems
Good understanding of Microsoft applications, particularly MS Excel
Experience of using Oracle R12 Inventory tools
