We're seeking a seasoned Strategic Account Executive to drive sales growth and establish strong relationships with key decision-makers in this critical sector.
Our cutting-edge compliance software solutions are designed to help financial, healthcare and life sciences companies maintain regulatory compliance, ensure data security, and optimize legal and compliance operations. With a strong focus on archiving and surveillance needs, our solutions address the complex challenges of HIPAA, FDA regulations, and other industry-specific requirements. As a Strategic Account Executive, you will play a critical role in identifying and addressing the unique needs of these organizations, demonstrating the value of our solutions, and guiding them through the sales process.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in software sales, specifically in compliance-related solutions, and a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape within financial services, healthcare and life sciences. You will work closely with prospects to identify their unique needs, demonstrate the value of our solutions, and guide them through the sales process from initial engagement to closing.
Your role
The Strategic Account Executive is a senior business development member focused on new accounts in one of Global Relay’s select sales regions. The primary responsibilities of an Account executive are to manage enterprise relationships, owning the sales cycle from end to end. They will also develop and maintain strong relationships with Global Relay customers through requirements gathering and solutions engineering. In addition, the Account Executive will competitively position Global Relay services against our competitors ensuring contracted services and leverage existing relationships to promote Global Relay services at new firms.
Your job
- Drives the execution of their vertically aligned sales operations leveraging a pre-determined go-to-market strategy within a designated group or territory, using market and industry insight where possible
- Determines effective targets to engage with based on the evolving goals and deliverables of the business
- Drives execution of the sales strategy in line with local regulatory and/or legislative considerations (as appropriate) and maximizes current and future growth of products and solutions (in designated territory, portfolio and market segment, etc.)
- Leads multiple sales, relationship management and sales support teams to meet sales, revenue, retention and organisational objectives and leverages internal SMEs to achieve complex enterprise sized deals
- Has responsibility for the successful attainment of personal annual targets
- Manages the end-to-end life cycle of the sale
- Coordinates demonstrations to prospects
- Manages complex and multi-faceted stakeholder engagements
About You
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a sales or business development role with either exposure in SaaS or Data sales, with strong exposure to financial services
- Selling into Compliance and IT functions is a bonus
- Proven ability to listen, effectively understand a situation, carefully record key points in a conversation, seek solutions and respond with clarity in all circumstances including challenging situations
- Willingness to travel to industry events and conferences
- Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail is essential
- Previous direct experience with Salesforce or another CRM system is an asset
- Expertise in influencing and engaging both internal and external stakeholders
- Self-starter, delivery focused and actively collaborative
- Strong team leader and stakeholder manager with the ability to build relationships with senior audiences
- Wider picture operator who can identify a route to a solution sale across a complex environment. A ‘can-do’ and ‘will-do’ attitude.
- The ability to build cross-functional relationships and to work under pressure with different teams
