Join us as a Strategic Finance Partner, Technology & Digital

  • We’ll look to you to undertake a leadership role providing support and challenge across a number of areas of technology to help the business achieve their strategic goals
  • You’ll be developing, shaping and influencing the strategic direction of the business and providing high quality strategic financial advice and insight to support decision making

What you'll do

As a Strategic Finance Partner, you’ll be leading a team and working in partnership with the business to develop their strategic goals and objectives by applying strong financial and market segment, cost and investment knowledge.

You’ll also be:

  • Partnering senior leaders in the delivery of the bank’s strategy and influencing spend and investment priorities by understanding their business with a strong commercial acumen
  • Providing strategic financial advice supported by specific financial plans, forecasts and market or segment analysis in collaboration with Finance centres of excellence
  • Delivering critical review and challenge to ensure optimum use of resources presented in investment decisions and business cases
  • Proactively influencing to make sure cost and capital management leadership is present within the business
  • Overseeing strategic finance activities including overlays for plan, forecasts and stress scenarios
  • Driving all business finance requirements, including month end requirements, strategic planning, functional reporting requirements and ensuring the timely escalation of issues


The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll be a qualified accountant and have strong stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to communicate, influence and resolve conflict at ExCo level. You’ll also need strategic awareness and the ability to apply business knowledge, expertise and challenge to support the business and identify long-term impacts of plans.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • The ability to deal with ambiguity, uncertainty and risk and work in a flexible environment
  • Strong finance functional knowledge, accounting knowledge and market segment knowledge
  • The ability to provoke and lead strategic change within senior executive teams
  • The ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of finance professionals
