The Opportunity
As Strategy Manager, you will lead a small, high-performing team delivering strategic insight across a broad range of energy topics directly supporting EDF’s senior leadership, including the UK Executive Team. You will collaborate closely with experts and leaders across the organisation and EDF Group, applying advanced analytical methods and structured strategy development to solve complex challenges and identify new opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you will manage two direct reports and lead a high-performing team to deliver strategic insights across diverse energy topics, directly supporting EDF’s senior leadership and UK Executive Team.
You’ll collaborate with experts and leaders to develop robust analysis and actionable recommendations aligned with EDF’s priorities, while flexibly responding to evolving business needs using advanced strategy and analytical techniques. Monitoring the UK energy market and competitor landscape, you’ll share timely insights with key stakeholders and manage end-to-end delivery of critical strategic projects.
Representing EDF UK within EDF Group Strategy, you’ll ensure the UK perspective is integrated into group initiatives. You’ll also lead the creation and dissemination of tailored strategy presentations, foster a high-performance team culture, and build strong networks across the organisation to drive strategic alignment and value creation.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in a numerate discipline such as economics, business, engineering, or mathematics, or possess equivalent practical experience; a master’s degree or MBA is desirable.
You will have significant experience in a senior strategy or analytical role, preferably with broad exposure to the energy value chain. Exceptional written communication skills are essential, enabling you to craft clear, compelling content for executive audiences and confidently coach others to enhance team communication.
You bring a positive, collaborative, and proactive approach, with strong intellectual agility to quickly grasp new topics and the confidence to initiate new work areas. Comfortable working independently under pressure, you demonstrate resilience and flexibility managing multiple, often ambiguous assignments. Excellent commercial, numerical, and analytical capabilities underpin your deep understanding of business value drivers, corporate financials, and strategy development tools.
You also possess advanced presentation, influencing, and facilitation skills, engaging confidently with senior stakeholders across EDF UK, EDF Group, and external partners.
