Street Works Permit Officer
About This Opportunity
Cumberland Council is seeking a
Street Works Permit Officer to join our Highways and Transportation service. You will play a key role in coordinating and monitoring street and road works across the county, ensuring compliance with the
New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 ,
Traffic Management Act 2004 , and the
Highways Act 1980 .
Key Responsibilities
- Issue and process permits and licences for works on the highway.
- Coordinate works to minimize disruption for road users.
- Assist with Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs).
- Maintain accurate records and provide technical advice to colleagues and contractors.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
- Knowledge of NRSWA, TMA, and Highways Act.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure compliance.
