Structural Designer - Offshore FEED (Contract)

Aberdeen or London with hybrid working

Remote working considered, with travel to office or site as required

Initial contract of approximately 4 to 6 months

Job Overview

An experienced Structural Designer is required to support an offshore FEED study for a multi-platform development. This is a hands-on design role focused on offshore topsides brownfield modifications, working closely with structural engineers and a wider multidisciplinary team.

The role will suit a designer who is comfortable producing high-quality FEED deliverables, contributing to layout optimisation, and ensuring designs are practical, constructable, and aligned with offshore requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain offshore structural 3D models
Support FEED activities for offshore topsides and brownfield modifications

Prepare and update structural layouts, models, and associated design deliverables

Interface with structural engineers and other disciplines to resolve design issues

Support optioneering and design development during the FEED phase

Incorporate offshore survey data and site constraints into design work

Ensure designs comply with project standards, safety requirements, and offshore best practice

Support design reviews and model reviews as required

Required Experience and Skills

Proven experience working as a Structural Designer
Strong experience using industry-standard offshore structural modelling systems
Experience with offshore topsides structural modifications and brownfield projects
Previous involvement in offshore FEED studies
Offshore project experience, including exposure to survey data, preferred
Offshore certification beneficial but not essential
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
