The Role

We are excited to announce an opportunity to join the Directorate for Students Team as a Student Adviser (Careers) on a part time basis. This role is essential in supporting students with careers and employability advice, helping them make informed decisions about their future. You will be part of a dynamic team within the Student Life Centres, delivering high-quality guidance and support to both students and staff.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Providing one-to-one and group careers guidance to students through face-to-face, telephone, and online interactions.
  • Delivering interactive careers sessions as part of the B&FC Careers Programme.
  • Supporting students in creating effective career plans using college systems such as eTracker.
  • Collaborating with progress tutors to ensure students receive the guidance they need for success and progression.
  • Promoting careers services and employability opportunities across the college.
  • Assisting with careers events, open days, and employer engagement activities.
  • Maintaining accurate student records and contributing to service reporting.
