A key part of this commitment is the Student Life Hub, a helpdesk dealing with the full range of issues which affect students outside of their academic study, including financial and wellbeing support.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to co-lead our existing team as one of our Student Life Supervisors. As part of the Student Life Team you will be providing a front line information and central support service to students from across the University, offering support and advice on a range of issues.
About You:
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
- Experience in providing a high level of customer services and excellent customer service skills
- Experience of, or demonstrable potential to, supervise staff and organise workloads
- Experience and confidence with a range of IT applications including knowledge of modern technologies and platforms and of IT packages that focus on administration, word processing, databases and spreadsheets
- Ability to deal sensitively with enquires from a diverse range of individuals, and de-escalate and manage potentially difficult or conflict situations calmly and with confidence
The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with excellent customer service and communication skills, able to deal sensitively with a diverse range of individuals and enjoy working with people. You must be highly organised, IT literate and able to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team. Some evening and weekend working will be required.
