- Manage and support the Operations activities in the Quarry according to the Operational Excellence principles in a safe way.
- Manage Quarry activities to develop a safe working behaviour.
- Drive continuous improvement activities. Monitor and review subcontractor activities.
- Control waste management.
- Ensure a safe work environment is provided by following Sibelco safety regulations and ensuring a Zero approach is taken with regards Operational safety.
- Drive action to deliver competitive cost position, reduce costs, increase yield, better value products and improve processes.
- Deliver KPI's as required
- Execute operational activities within the budgeted Opex and Capex prescriptions.
- Achieve yearly COS budget.
- Manage, evaluate and develop team members.
About You
- Practical understanding of industrial mineral industry.
- Good knowledge and understanding of local Quarry regulations and permit policies.
- Strong communicator and team leader.
- IT literate and good understanding of financial principles.
- Proactive, pragmatic and self-motivated.
